PBE engineers are the underground communications experts to support the planning of tunneling projects
PBE is able to use its extensive experience in tunneling communications to provide a complete range of consultancy services from initial advice, design, project scoping to full system audits. This may be in the form of preparing technical documentation, carrying out system performance analysis, through to complete project management and overall ownership. Examples of areas of design and consultancy include:
- Communication Systems
- Control and Automation
- Renewable Energy / Waste to Energy Systems Design
- PA / VA
- Fire Prevention, Detection & Suppression Systems
- Security & Access Control
Consultancy & Design Team
The consulting and design team of the PBE Tunneling Solutions division is overseen by Dr. Wisam Farjow. Dr. Farjow has a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering and has extensive experience in the design and management of complex engineering systems in underground communications.
Dr. Farjow oversees PBE systems engineering activities throughout the world. Wisam has extensive experience in the design and management of complex engineering systems in the fields of underground mines and tunnels communication systems.
Dr. Farjow also has the position of Adjunct Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering / Ryerson University in Toronto. Wisam is actively involved in researching advanced technologies and modern theories related to the underground mines and tunnels. His work has resulted in developing a number of novel algorithms and approaches targeting safer mines and advanced communication systems.
Wisam has a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Ryerson University in Toronto. He is a member of the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE), Project Management Institute (PMI), and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario, Canada (PEO).
